Indian Big and Brave!

Matthew had his Kindergarten performance today and he was our Indian big and brave. Bless the little guys heart he looks tiny sandwiched in between the 2 oldest boys in the class (Both turned 6 in August). He did a great job and we are quite proud of him!

Carrots or Turkey??

You decide- Does Katherine like carrots or turkey better. Sorry for the videography but I was holding the camera with one hand and the food with the other!

Leave! Leaves! Leaves!

It was another beautiful fall weekend. Matthew and his best buddy Sydney enjoyed demolishing all of Daddy's hard work!!!

Our little girl is growing WAY too fast. Daddy and brother are quite proud of the fact that she is about to crawl, mom on the other hand......

ScanFest 2008

ScanFest is an annual Charlotte event held at the Wachovia building downtown. This is the second time we have been. It's a celebration of all things Scandinavian. There are exhibits, music, dancing, traditional foods and of course vikings. I think the vikings were even better than the Legos for Matthew.
We had to go back twice to see the vikings spar. Matthew would have sat there all day if Katherine hadn't desperately needed a nap!

This was Matthew's favorite Lego exhibit. The top spun and there was a moving train and light rail. There were also all sorts of lights. He spent about 20 minutes just taking it in.

Halloween Weekend

The kids had a blast on our annual trek to the corn maze. Matthew was so excited to shoot the corn cannon for the first time. This year the clues were interactive so Matthew was able to help. (i.e. how many times does the word happy appear in the song Happy Birthday to You.)

Its amazing how fast October came and went. We finally carved our pumpkin on Friday afternoon. Matthew designed it himself and we cut it out for him. The knight and his horse enjoyed trick or treating and passing candy out by the fire pit at the end of the driveway. Our neighborhood traditionally sits at the end of their drive ways with a fire pit and pass out candy. Its as much a social event for the adults as it is for the children.
