Scout Camp

This week is is Matthew's first week ever of Scout Camp and of course the heat index has been 100+ (108 for tomorrow). He has been such a trooper and has truly enjoyed it. I have been lucky enoughto spend 2 1/2 of the last three days out there helping out and catching passing glimpses of the boy. What a great time we both have had...heat and all!

Father's Day

My Husband is a good man. That's all I can say. Father's Day, Intense heat and humidity and he is out building a swing set for his kids. Not just any swing set mind you! No- he has bought the lumber, cut it, drilled the holes EVERYTHING! By Sunday night the were ready to start putting it together. So the boy and his dad were out until 8:00 sweating and working their hineys off. A long way to go but the hard, tedious stuff is done for the most part. Now is when they will begin to see the fruits of their labor. I will keep you posted on the progress!
The concentration....

The muscle used to tighten it as much as possible--I can almost hear the grunt as I look at this one...

Happy Father's Day Honey --Thanks for being you!

Mary Mary Quite Contrary...

The Garden is really taking off! I can't wait for the first tomatoes or eggplant or zucchini or cucumbers or....

Thanks for the window markers Beste! They made the sting of staying home on the first day of vacation not as bad!

poor baby

1st day of summer vacation and Matthew doesn't get to go anywhere because Katherine is running a 102 fever. I was uploading other pictures and heard this sound coming from the living room where Katherine was watching Elmo on the couch. I walk in and this is what I see... (and its only 11:00 nap is usually at 2:00)

MMMM Pudding!

Matthew's GymnasticsProgram

Mr. Randy always has nice things to say about everyone but tonight as he presented Matthew with his trophy he said that Matthew has the best upper body strength he as ever seen come through the program and that he always gives 110% and is extremely focused. Talk about a proud momma!

Last Day of School

We couldn't let the kids have all the fun. A couple neighbors and I ambushed the kids with silly string and water balloons as they got off the bus!! The bus driver thought it was great-she was honking her horn and laughing hysterically! Who says you have to grow up??

Birthday Boy

Matthew had a wonderful birthday so he says. He even grinned when mom and dad gave him socks and underwear as his big gift!!!! He actually is getting a playground as well as his new slip and slide-Brian busted the one David and Monica gave him for his birthday three years ago. He was trying to surprise the kids Saturday and sneaked up behind them and took off down the slide. Unfortunately he forgot to take of his scout belt and ended up ripping the whole slide!!!
He loved absolutely everything he opened and didn't even have a problem sharing his new toys with his little sister. She immediately stole his soccer pillow from Grandpa and the ball she gave him!

My little goofball!
He looks so big in this one :o(

Where's Katherine?

Her new favorite game is to play hide and seek in our chair and a half. It can amuse her for up tp 30 minutes at a time!

Where's Katherine?

Last Picture as a Six Year Old

It's a Ruff Life!

My two oldest boys spent an afternoon snuggling on the couch!

First Pickins

Katherine and Matthew enjoyed the first peas from the garden on Saturday! I think Matthew had more fun dissecting them!

Beach night

As part of his birthday celebration we had dinner at the beach Saturday night with the Servellos and then walked along the boardwalk and played in the sand. It was absolutely beautiful after a very hot day!
