We made it Gramps and Beste's about 2:00 in the morning our time. Eventually got to bed and then got up in the morning and headed out to see the Grand Canyon about 10:00. Matthew was ecstatic. To make it even better we woke up the next morning to snow. Matthew and Mom took a quiet walk at 6:00am to the edge of the canyon while everyone else slept. It was cold but wonderful!
After Matthew took his oath as a junior ranger, we headed off to see dinosaur footprints near Tuba City. On the way home we encountered a good old fashioned winter storm. Even saw a police officer fish tail as he tried to turn around to help the cars rolled over in the ditch! No worries-we made it home safe and sound.
