MAtthew received his Bobcat at the Blue and Gold Banquet Saturday.
The days may be wild and crazy but they are filled with love. I wouldn't trade our life together for anything

A little back yard fun
We took advantage of the beautiful weather today and played a little soccer in the back yard. This was after Matthew told me to get my camera. I came outside and he had set a family photo op (me behind the camera of course!)

Our future sock ball star (she knows the difference between a sock ball, football and bass ball as she calls them)
watching a drop kick fly through the air
This one is blurry but I love emotion as he gets ready to kick the ball with all his might!
It would help if she would look where she was going. This was taken as she bounced BACKWARD off of Bailey after she ran into him!
Pine Wood Derby
Matthew participated in the his first Pine Wood Derby today and enjoyed it quite a bit. His car didn't come in in the top three for the Tigers but this did not dampen his spirits. Each car ran in 4 heats and he managed to win one of the heats. He is already making design plans for next year!

Matthew's car is on the far right
Watching his car at the start of the race (Granny if you look closely Matthew is wearing his Daddy's bolo and belt)
Watching the cars as they get near the finish
His car, certificate of partcipation and his driver's license. He wanted to drive home but then realized he wasn't sure how too. I don't think he expected daddy to say he could!

Poor Baby
Zoo Tales
We made another trek to Zoo Tales today. We met a salamander and got to pet a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach and a chinchilla. After Miss Kate was fully awake she had a blast as always.
We go every week and her excitement never fades. The Elephants and giraffes and the lions are her favorites(we took a little snooze on the drive over)

I thought you might like to see her tell you all about the elephants and giraffes (the camera die before we got to the lions).
A few weeks ago a new statue was put up at the entrance of the zoo. The artist's "creation playfully illustrates our interconnection with each other, from the largest terrestrial mammals to the most delicate wind-bound insects. The name of the statue is “All Things Within All Things.”"
The elephant is made of butterflies and the butterfly is made of 2 elephant heads.

Fort Fun
I finally got my other camera to download;-) During our big snow Matthew and I spent one of our many days off making a fort in the living room while Katherine was napping. It was a great place to hide out, eat popcorn and watch a movie.

Later that evening when we had put it all away Katherine very proudly rearranged the sofa cushions and announced "I fort!" She had made her very own fort by herself.

Poop Warty Four
I asked Katherine to tell her Daddy what she did today and she told him "Poop Warty Four". She was very concerned as she said it. For those of you who don't speak Katherine-ese she was tell him Poop water floor. She had peed on the floor and apparently didn't know the word pee so it was poop. But it was a liquid so it must be water! I am still trying to figure out how she did because she had her diaper and a skirt on. The skirt was dry and the diaper was barely wet. And there was a nice sized puddle on the floor that she alerted me to immediately.

Student of Month
Matthew came home with a note this week saying he was chosen as "Student of the Month" for his class. He was given a certificate and was invited to an ice cream and cookie social. He said to me at the social "Mama isn't this a great start to Valentine's weekend?" He was so happy and proud (So was I of course) More pictures to follow.
