Pine Wood Derby Day

Master of Ceremonies AKA Cub Master Brian

The quarantined sick girl.  She decided to start running a fever less than 10 minutes before Matthew had to be at the race.
Matthew is on the far right

We did not place in the top three which is just fine.  Matthew did almost everything himself this year and there were 19 cars in his den.  We are very proud of his hard work.

Punxatawney Phil

To help celebrate our favorite Groundhog's birthday, Katherine and I made groundhog pudding cup.  The entire time we made them she wanted figure out a way to get one to her Beste.  Happy Birthday Mom!  We figured pictures would be the next best thing.  We Love You!

Katherine worked very hard on hers!

The Eye

Most of you know the story of the eye.  Hard to believe that there wasn't more damage!  It is looking prety good and we have started using the Mederma.  I am hoping that the lump starts to go down soon.
The fiirst picture is about 2 hours after the scooter accosted her.  We were sitting in the emergency room trying not to catch what ever germs were floating through the air!  After all it was our first day out after having the flu!

Waiting for our stitches....

still awake at 10:00

One day after stitches....just a little swelling!

3 days with stitches

Getting ready to get them out....

Getting an eye exam to make sure there was no internal exam.  She did a fantastic job, in fact her vision has improved since last year!

And this is what we look like today!

Matthew earned his Webelos rank this week!

We are so proud of how hard Matthew has worked on earning his Webelos.  And he is already working towards his Arrow of Light.  He has memorized the Boy Scout law already!  I think he is excited to earn something his dad didn't!

His buddy Nathan is the only other scout to earn his Webelo Rank.  They were quite proud of themselves!

He also impounded his Pinewood Derby car.  He did a fantastic job this year.  He did most of the work himself.
