We had a Halloween party before trick or treating this year. Matthew had fun with the mummy wrap while Katherine enjoyed the bobbing for apple bin! We also were supposed to have a hay ride but it was rained out halfway through. Katherine would not stand still for a photo so this was the best I could do! Thank you Beste for the awesome costumes
The days may be wild and crazy but they are filled with love. I wouldn't trade our life together for anything

A Place for Everyone and Everyone in Their Place
This video is from the first weekend Dad came home. She must have done 4 or 5 times before we got the camera out!

Apples!
Apples? Yes, Apples. Katherine can not be convinced that these big orange things are not apples-even after tasting one! This is round one of pumpkin carving. The kids helped Sydney clean out their pumpkins. Let me rephrase that the BIG kids helped clean them out. The Little ones helped put the guts back in!

Weekend with Dad
Matthew had two soccer games this weekend and scored three of the four goals for his team. They won both games much to Matthew's delight. He was also thrilled that daddy was home for the game and it didn't get rained out this time-although it did rain during the game! We also made our annual trek to the Amazing Maize Maze since Daddy was home.

First Trip to VA
House News
We have sold our current house-almost! We just had the inspection on Thursday and are waiting to hear back on that. Once that is settled it will be official. We plan on leaving SC on November 14th. We are not sure where we will be headed to though. We currently have an offer on a house in VA. Unfortunately it went into short sale about the time we made the offer. The offer made it to the bank this past Wednesday. They have 10 days to respond. We are going ahead with the inspection tomorrow (Tuesday). Once we know if we have the house we will know when our move in date will be etc. I will keep you posted.

Has it only been a month?
I'm sure most of you are wondering where we have been. It has been ages since I have posted. We have been so busy and sick that I honestly haven't had the time and energy!
Let's see what has happened?
Sept. 8th Brian moved to VA and then on the 11th Matthew started soccer and Katherine came down with hand foot mouth disease. By that Saturday she had a full blown sinus infection with green gunk coming out both eyes. By Wednesday she had either roseola or another viral infection. That next weekend I had a nasty case of laryngitis. Katherine started with the eyes again so back to the doctor. three days later she was hitting her ear and falling a lot so back to the doctor (trip #5 in 2 weeks) and she had a bulging eard drum on one side and the other ear was half full of puss. Brian then came home for the weekend and suprised the kids. He left Sunday and I went out to dinner with the cul de sac for my birthday. On the way home, Katherine threw up twice in the car. We got home, cleaned out the car seat, gave her a bath and checked her temp-102 degrees. Called the doctor in the morning and they said bring her back in. So in we go-ears still infected but getting better and she has yet another virus. Oh by the way that day I came down with hand foot mouth-mostly mouth! On the happy side that afternoon we sold our house. We just need to make it through the inspection and we are off to VA by Thanksgiving.

A Girl and Her Dog
Katherine has found a new way to pass time. She watches the birds at the bird feeder with her dog. I wish I knew what she was telling him. She just babbles and babbles and he sits and listens to her. We are so lucky to have such a good and patient dog. He also doesn't mind her hand feeding him or even stealing his food!
