Ouch!
Brian and I received phone calls from school saying Matthew had hit his head and there was a little blood and some swelling. I unfortunately didn't get the message until he was about to get on the bus, but Daddy talked to him on the phone and he went back to class. Apparently he had time to draw in centers and in his mind this ordeal was on his mind. He came bounding up the hill after school so I guess all is well!

owch! What is it about this age? There is no stopping them - full speed ahead. Most of my son's pictures at this time are full of bumps and bruises - sometimes he could remember what he hit.
I wandered over to your blogs from smiles and trials, had to check in on Garrett and send him my prayers and best wishes after surgery. Congrats on your adoption too. How nice that they could get so much done in one surgical session! Over and done with! Hopefully he'll be up and feeling better soon - then your problem will be keeping him STILL as long as the doctor says he has to stay still! We recently went through that with our 7yo when he had his appendix out, "Stop running!" - ;-D
