Children's Festival

We enjoyed the one day of beautiful weather this week at The Children's Festival (Yes its raining again today so no Bark in the Park and Dock Dogs for us today) We spent $3 a head and brought Matthew's best friend from school and scouts along with us. It was the best $3 we have spent in a long time. Those of you who are familiar with PBS probably know who/what Steve Songs is. If not he is a children's musician. We sat in the front row for his concert and all three children had an absolute blast. I am truly impressed by Steve. He was very friendly and even took time out of his concert to talk to a little girl named Cici who just kept waving at him. Afterward she climbed up in his arms and said "I just love you!" She was 3!!!
The kids also got to participate in a musical petting zoo at the Va Beach Symphony tent. Matthew tried out a cello and violin among other things.
Curious George, Clifford, the gang from Super Why and many others were there Katherine was very excited about them as long as the were a safe distance away!
They had their faces painted for free, saw a queen bee in a hive, and tried some computer games among other things. $3 a person was definitely a deal!!!
