It's a Good Day

Matthew went back to the allergist and we had some good news. We are able to reintroduce Matthew to peanuts! He had his first bit this evening when we went to Bruster's (ice cream) for school spirit night. No reactions yet!! We will continue to let him have a little more every couple of days!! He thought Dad's peanut butter ice cream was AWESOME and wanted to trade his for it. We are also working on starting allergy shots. Medicines are about 50% effective in relieving the symptoms/problems. Shots are 80-90% effective. We should see a marked improvement including his sleep. We are waiting for his results from KY and then we will make a game plan. Matthew is on board even though they may hurt a little. He is excited to reduce the number of medications he uses, sleep well at night, and get a cool scan card to scan everytime he comes for shots!
All in all a great day in our house!
